Manea Heeney entered the ‘International Environmental Children’s Drawing Competition’, held in Tokyo where the brief was to draw a picture of "The Earth I love"
A huge congratulations to our talented Year 7 artist Manea Heeney who entered the ‘International Environmental Children’s Drawing Competition’, held in Tokyo. The competition attracted over 12,000 entries from children up to age 15, from 88 countries around the world. The brief was to draw a picture that depicted “The Earth I Love”.
Manea received an ‘International Honourable Mention Award’ for her artwork, which was one of only 12 pieces chosen for the 2020 International Artwork Calendar. It also features in the Award Winning Artists Booklet and in promo material for the 2020 Competition. Manea was the only New Zealand artist to receive an award.
