The Dio Ducks (Year 7 & 8 Water Polo Team) competed at the AIMS games. This was the first competition that the team played in an all-girls grade for the year so it was exciting to test themselves against other girls teams.
At the end of pool play, Dio was placed first equal with Remuera Intermediate and St Cuthbert’s College but unfortunately seeded third to go into semi-finals.
The semi-final was played against St Cuthbert’s College where unfortunately the Ducks lost by one goal.
The team then went on to win bronze against Carmel College which was an exceptional achievement for our Dio Ducks.
