Our Senior Hip Hop crew (Years 9-13) started the year proudly and confidently with their first major performance at the Project Tauranga – a national Hip Hop competition held over the Queen’s Birthday weekend. They were awarded second place and were only .02 points behind first place. Out of the five judges on the panel, three placed them first!

The trip was a huge success. The 40 girls involved had a blast and they were great ambassadors for the School. There are more exciting opportunities ahead for the crew, who along with their exceptional choreographer Ashley Medcalfe and instigator of the programme, Mindy Levene, have achieved so much in the few years we have been running this programme here at Diocesan.
