House points were up for grabs at the non-competitive long jump, vortex and 80m dash. The Year 13s earned their ‘dress-up’ rights with costumes galore.
On the field, Sina-Maria Su’a continued her dominant performances in discus and shot put with two further school records – 15.14 in shot put, and an extremely impressive throw (and Personal Best) in discus of 46.45.
Hannah McManus also continued on the road to impress from last year, with two school records – 2.18.03 in the 800m and over on the field 32.00 at the javelin. The previous javelin record was set in 2000 by Elizabeth Ryan.
The day finished with the Staff versus Prefects relay, with the teachers putting on an awesome performance, ahead until the final 100m, where our Athletics Code Captain, Jacqui Nasrabadi, took control of the baton and the race, to pip the teachers at the post.
