Day one highlights
In the field events, Sina-Maria Su’a dominated the Junior Girls Discus with an impressive throw of 46.96m, securing first place; Eden Brettell placed third in the Junior Girls Javelin; while Hannah McManus claimed gold in the Intermediate Girls Javelin with a throw of 33.52m.
On the track, Dio had a strong presence in the Junior 200m, with four students competing, along with two in the Intermediate division. Noomi Riley ran in the Junior Girls 800m, while Abi Bethell and Eden Brettell competed in the Junior Girls 3000m. The Junior Girls 4x100m relay team put in a great effort. Hannah McManus showcased her dominance in middle-distance running, winning the Intermediate Girls 800m, with strong performances from Luisa Haines and Scarlett Gwin. Grace Larsen ran well in the 3000m, while Sophia Haines put in a solid effort in the Senior Girls 800m.
Day two highlights
Sina-Maria Su’a continued her dominance in the field, winning the Junior Girls Shot Put with a throw of 14.52m. In High Jump, Isabelle Brunton competed in the Intermediate Girls division, while Eden Brettell and Amy McPike took on the Junior High Jump. Tessa Lepionka and Chloe Driscoll gave their best in the Triple Jump, and Charlotte Waite competed in the Intermediate Shot Put.
On the track, Hannah McManus continued her stellar performance, winning the Intermediate Girls 1500m, with Luisa Haines also competing. Grace Larsen secured third in the Intermediate Girls 2000m Steeplechase, while Sophia Haines earned third place in the Senior Girls 1500m.
The Open Girls 4x400m relay team (Sophia Haines, Luisa Haines, Scarlett Gwin, and Hannah McManus) put in a huge effort to finish second. In the sprint events, Dio had another strong showing, with four athletes competing in the Junior 100m and three in the Intermediate division. Phoebe Kelt ran a great race in the Junior Girls 300m, with Scarlett Main and Eden Brettell also competing. In the Intermediate Girls 400m, Scarlett Gwin ran well, followed closely by Tessa Lepionka and others.
