Dio fencers continued their successful run this year, with Lena Jacob and Chantelle May competing in the Australian National U-17 and U-15 Championships .
During the July holiday, our Dio fencers continued their successful run this year across the Tasman, with Lena Jacob and Chantelle May competing in the Australian National U-17 and U-15 Championships held in Sydney.
In the U-17 Women’s Foil, Lena finished with a bronze medal, narrowly missing out on a place in the final after a 15-14 semi, with Chantelle finishing eighth.
Chantelle went on to compete in the Australian U-15 Women’s Foil competition the following day, where she finished with a gold medal after an exciting 15-14 final. She also came home with a silver from the U-17 and a bronze in the U-15 teams’ events.
