Dio Old Girl Arianna Ryan just captained a team of Engineering Students to a prestigious win, beating 2000 other students from Asia-Pacific’s top Universities, at the Warman Design & Build Competition.

The 30-year-old contest involves a challenging project to design and make a machine to perform a difficult task. Arianna and her team used mechanical gear, 3D printing, robotics and autonomous vehicles to achieve their win.

Arianna is currently in her second year of Mechanical Engineering at Canterbury, and spent the last 9 months working on this project. Her team initially won the campus final and then went over and won the Australasian title.

Congratulations Arianna on this very impressive achievement.
