A rebuilding year for Dio cricket, we have had a number of signups in Year 9 and a good spread throughout other year levels.
Last year we were relegated back to the 1A competition, but it looks like we have good depth in the team for the next four years!
Yesterday the 1st XI played MAGS 2nd XI. MAGS were 103 for 6 after 20 overs, and Dio reached that in the 16th over, 106/3. A straightforward win!
A notable performance in the game was that of Sophia Hardie (11NE), who as keeper, took a stumping and two catches. Batting for the team, her high score of 29 not out was off 24 balls.
Susie Finlayson (10NE) opened the batting, scoring 24 off 28 balls.
Bowling, Molly Farrands (9SE) took two wickets for 12 runs off three overs which was exciting as it was her first game in Year 9.
