Diocesan School for Girls is set in in beautiful, landscaped grounds in central Auckland.
Our campus includes state-of-the-art, sustainable buildings, exceptional sports facilities, and beautiful grounds. Diocesan is located in Epsom, just a 15 minute drive from the CBD and a short walk from Newmarket, we have a large underground carpark on site. Our venues can be hired outside of school hours for filming, sports events and more.
Our state-of-the-art Aquatic Centre has already featured on many shows. The Centre includes a fitness centre, changing facilities, two pools and generous stadium seating for 400 overlooking the main pool. The main pool floor can be lowered for deep water sports like waterpolo and raised for learn-to-swim classes. The large double glazed windows that overlook the School House lawn were designed to optimise the natural light and the main pool hall walls have acoustic panelling.
Main Pool specifications: 25m L x 20m W (eight lanes) and is 2m deep when floor is lowered. Junior Pool specifications: 12m long, 0.7m to 0.9m deep, The temperature is kept between 32 and 34ºC.
Our Sports Centre is where most of our on-site individual and team coaching takes place. The centre can be hired out in full or half size and includes function rooms and a small kitchen. The Sports Centre houses an upstairs viewing area, basketball hoops, a digital scoreboard and pull-out stadium seating.
Our Olympic quality artificial multipurpose sports turf offers a full-sized competition hockey turf, while the wider turf complex offers netball and tennis courts for year-round sports training.
The school has many other venues which can be made available for hire including classroom spaces, our school hall, specialist art or science spaces, Junior School facilities and more.
